            INSTALL  AND UPDATE  ANTIVIRUS

Install if you don’t have one. If you do have an antivirus, update it regularly. Usually most antivirus come with an on-line security feature, this protects your computer and smart phone from being infected by virus from the internet.






        BE CAREFUL WITH E-MAIL ATTACHMENTS

If you’re not privy to any e-mail Attachments coming in from a particular e-mail address, do not open the attachment(s) –not even from a known e-mail address-here’s why: the known e-mail may have been hacked and can be used to send you spyware which could get downloaded into your system when opened.








    DO NOT ENGAGE IN PUBLIC TRANSACTION ON PUBLIC WI-FI

Buying stuff on-line; logging in to secure accounts; money transfer; paying with your cards...DO NOT do these over public Wi-Fi. You can do these transactions o your secure and private network.

No, this has nothing to do with hooks, lines and sinkers... Phishing a method in which fraudulent persons pose as legitimate companies or individuals you know so they can have your sensitive details- Beware!










       BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU PUT YOUR PASSWORDS

Do not enter your password into any funny looking site. Usually your browser should (not always) notify you of certain malicious sites. It is advisable to have more than one password for different sites.

      CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD
Image result for changing passwordIt is not advisable not to us the same password for a long time. The reason? –well, hackers never really give up on an account they consider worthy of attack.
Always have separate passwords for different accounts or at least avoid using the same password for decades (e.g. several weeks) - change your passwords more frequently.
